I need a change! I am turning 25 this year and since I am not where I want to be in my life at this point, I want to get it as close to my personal best as I can. My goals for this year is to:
- Lose weight
- Stop procrastinating
- Save money
- Get out of debt
- Figure out what I want to do in my life
- Just have a better year then 2009
- Become a stronger and more independent woman!
I watched the second episode of Life Unexpected with one of my favorite actors, Liz from Roswell or Shiri Appleby. The show started showing Shiri running along a lake in the morning... something I have always seen myself doing. Yet, here are the problems, I dont work out, my tummy jiggles just from walking, so I can't imagine the akward feeling of running, and running isn't really my style.
I lived in Germany a portion of my child and teenage life and have enjoyed the continuous use of cycles. I have gone through stints where I would go to the gym and cycle everyday, I even started jogging, but everything lasts for a short time, and I am back to square one.
Can I ever be like Shiri's character? What is the rest of her character all about? Here is some info: Her character is a successful radio morning show host who turns out to have gotten pregnant at 16 and given the baby up for adoption.
Suddenly her daughter who she has never heard of since comes to her and the
biological father to receive their signatures so she can become emancipated from the foster care system.
biological father to receive their signatures so she can become emancipated from the foster care system. In the first episode both parents are reluctant to accept the fact that their daughter whom they thought was placed with a great family after child birth, is back and seem unwilling to care about her emancipation. Well, Liz learns she needs to grow up and goes to the hearing in court and eventually gets placed with 50% custody of her daughter, sharing the other 50% with the biological father, which has also been absent since their one time fling.

Just like this character's life, mine has had it's ups and downs. I find myself trying to become something better, to grow up and clean the clutter out of my life, which includes not procrastinating (which I am doing right now, losing weight (my goal is to lose 25 before I'm 25, which is an awesome program name if I do say myself), and getting out of debt, among some other things. I feel this blog will help keep me on track and be an outlet to vent about life.
